  7.     It was not a good week for EDDIE MURPHY. When the ego of
  8. the fledgling director and the beauty of actress MICHAEL
  9. MICHELE collided on the Hollywood set of his new movie, Harlem
  10. Nights, sparks flew. Dumped after a few rehearsals, she slapped
  11. the star with a $75 million lawsuit, claiming she was fired
  12. because she rejected his "personal overtures." Murphy, who
  13. called her charges "absurd and totally false," had other woes
  14. as well. A group of New York City blacks, including 40 stage
  15. actors, protested his decision to film on a Tinseltown back lot
  16. instead of in the real Harlem.
